National Defense University Manufacturing Seminar
On January 16, 2013, High Road Strategies’ Principal, Dr. Joel S. Yudken, spoke to students of the Manufacturing Industry Study seminar at the National Defense University’s Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy, located in Fort McNair, Washington, DC. His presentation, “Manufacturing’s Future: America’s Manufacturing Crisis and the Prospects for Revitalization,” and the lively discussion that followed, were very well received by the 20 or so participants at the seminar, which included members of the military services, federal national security agencies and defense industry. This is the third time that Dr. Yudken has been invited by the NDU to speak before its manufacturing industry study seminars. In prior presentations he discussed the findings of his report, Manufacturing Insecurity: America’s Manufacturing Crisis and the Erosion of the U.S. Defense Industrial Base, which were referenced in the Manufacturing Industry Study Reports produced by previous seminar groups.
